Junior/Senior High School Program

Attending North Hardin Christian School is a privilege filled with tremendous opportunities for developing life skills that will make an impact on the world both professionally and spiritually. Academic excellence in a Christian environment is the hallmark of our high school curriculum. Each student is challenged and stretched intellectually to achieve his or her God-given potential by certified teachers who genuinely care about the progress and well-being of their students. Acceptance for enrollment is determined by an interview with administration, previous school records, and the student’s express desire to receive a Christian education at NHCS.

What is the value of a NHCS education? It can be measured by high standardized test scores, honor roll averages, college acceptance rates, community service hours, extracurricular activities, and quality athletics. The affect that a well-rounded Christian education has on a student is not as easy to measure, but the results are astonishing. Over 97% of our graduates attend college. Recent graduates, including Governor’s Scholars and students receiving appointments to service academies, have received millions in scholarships. Our graduates are now giving back to their communities serving as doctors and nurses, teachers, military officers, business professionals, etc.

North Hardin Christian School holds the unique distinction of being the only private high school in Hardin County that is accredited by AACS and certified by the Kentucky Department of Education. The credits received at NHCS are accepted by any public or private institution at any level. NHCS students have the ability to earn a college scholarship provided through the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES) program. Based on their GPA and ACT score, students may earn up to $10,000 to be used at an in-state college or university.

Our new facilities include seven academic classrooms equipped with high-speed cable, ceiling-mounted projectors, smartboards, wireless slates, and additional technology to enhance the learning experience at NHCS. The commons is situated in the center of the classrooms, allowing easy access to research and study through the library and computer lab. Science research and lab work is performed in most every science class offered. In addition, the new athletic fields including soccer, baseball, and track, provide an additional opportunity for students to achieve their personal best in athletics

Every student is challenged to earn a college preparatory diploma.
